2008 Presidential Race. In the 2008 Presidential election, the county supported Democrat Barack Obama 58-40% over Republican John McCain.

 

2004 Presidential Race. In the 2004 Presidential election, the county supported Democrat John Kerry 51-48% over Republican George W. Bush.

 

About Whiteside County. Whiteside County was formed in 1836 out of Jo Daviess and Henry Counties. Its county seat is Morrison, Illinois.

 

Whiteside County is named for General Samuel Whiteside, an Illinois officer in the War of 1812 and Black Hawk War.
