From the Kane County Chronicle:

Another member of Kane County’s state legislative delegation has announced that he will not seek another term representing the Tri-Cities region in Springfield.

Friday morning, State Rep. Tim Schmitz, R-Batavia, said he intends to make this current term his last in the Illinois General Assembly.

From the State Journal-Register:

An Illinois House Republican says he won’t seek a second full term in 2014.

Rep. Brad Halbrook says he will leave when his term ends in January 2015 to spend more time with his family.

The 52-year-old businessman from Charleston said Monday he made his decision last spring when his 78-year-old father had a medical emergency.
