2012 Presidential Race. In the 2012 Presidential election, the county supported Republican Mitt Romney 58-40% over Democrat Barack Obama.

2008 Presidential Race. In the 2008 Presidential election, the county supported Republican John McCain 50-49% over Democrat Barack Obama.

2004 Presidential Race. In the 2004 Presidential election, the county supported Republican George W. Bush 54-45% over Democrat John Kerry.

About Randolph County. Randolph County was organized in 1795 out of a part of St. Clair County. The county’s boundaries were last changed in 1827, when land was taken to form Perry County. Its county seat is Chester, Illinois.

Randolph County has never adopted township form of government. The county has been divided into precincts.
