With most everyone piling on embattled RNC Chairman Michael Steele, we might be tempted to cut the guy a break. But unfortunately, Steele shows no remorse for his bad management to date. He appears arrogantly committed to staying on, no matter what the cost to our party.
So what the heck, we’ll add one to the growing list of mishaps.
The Washington Post just published a pretty comprehensive list. But they overlooked a major incident that happened here in Illinois last summer.
While Michael Steele was in Chicago back in August, he created a major dust-up when as a guest on a morning radio show he very clearly endorsed Mark Kirk for U.S. Senate over several other Republican primary challengers. Steele was essentially campaigning for Kirk. This constituted a clear violation of the RNC’s own Rule 11.
