Perhaps they could buy an ad in the paper, something pithy:
“Wanted: Experienced chief executive for turnaround enterprise. Good at herding cats and building big tents. The only compensation is psychic, but CEO will have the opportunity to raise significant money and have fun at the expense of Mike Madigan.”
Illinois Republicans could do worse as they set out to find a replacement for departing Chairman Pat Brady. And some veteran insiders tell me it really is doable, especially if a party used to mostly taking orders can somehow recapture the Illinois governor’s mansion in next year’s election.
We’ll see.
